Cell regeneration and the mind- body-spirit
If you have ever wondered if cells in your body can actually regenerate, they can. That might be very difficult to believe if you have a chronic condition or if you have been told there is no cure. But there is evidence that cells can and do regenerate.
If you would like to see some science around this, take a look at this 2008 video report by CBS. The researcher in this video talks about the knowledge within our own cells, that when directed to do so, knows to re-grow. Using what scientists in regenerative medicine called extra cellular matrix (taken from pig bladder) that has an ability to direct the cells, the researchers at Pittsburgh McGowan Institute are literally growing new tissue for various parts of the body.
If you look at the comments below the video, you can see that some people are afraid that this is unnatural and against God. But in my own experience with energy medicine, regeneration is our birth-right. My own personal experience corroborates what the researchers are discovering through scientific study. Our cells already have the capability to regenerate themselves. The only thing stopping them from doing so is belief.
My own experience with cell regeneration
Some years ago one of my fallopian tubes was collapsed. After seeing my doctor, I decided to use my own sound medicine to rehabilitate the fallopian tube. I began a rigorous healing schedule, which included sound medicine and holding my fallopian tube in great compassion. While regenerating the tissue with sound, I made sure any underlying cause for its initial collapse was addressed with loving compassion.
One month later, I visited my doctor again. The fallopian tube was healed and whole again.
Some of you have heard the story about my buddy Kev, who was in a motorcycle accident that tore up his knee. Even though he was told he would never walk again, he regenerated his knee using visualization and physical therapy.
The mind-body-spirit has been designed for rejuvenation!
Are you wondering, “What about me? Can my cells regenerate too?”
How powerful are our cells when it comes to regeneration? Consider this information provided by the Stanford School of Medicine, Cell regeneration research at Stanford University:
Every one of us completely regenerates our own skin every 7 days. A cut heals itself and disappears in a week or two. Every single cell in our skeleton is replaced every 7 years. We are all regenerating all the time.
The future of medicine lies in understanding how the body creates itself out of a single cell and the mechanisms by which it renews itself throughout life, and we are part of that future—right now—as we discover our innate ability to heal.
(For those that are concerned about the embryonic stem cell research that is being done to help scientists better understand our ability to regenerate, keep in mind that there are multiple types of stem cell research being done. Research can also involve: mature tissue or organ stem cells, cancer stem cells and the study of new stem cell lines. And this is only one area of rapid cellular growth options being investigated.)
Instructing your cells to regenerate—Empowering your mind-body-spirit
While scientists are actively searching for stimuli that will instruct the cells to regenerate, I’ve discovered that the mind can do the same thing. If you have my book, The Root of All Healing, I recommend you read the story about my client that grew a new valve to her heart with her own visualization and my sound medicine to support her.
If you are like me and want personal evidence, you are going to need to encourage your cells to do what they know how to do. Personally, I’ve gotten some of my best results using personalized Sound Healing that I create for myself and others.
To get long-lasting results, you are going to need to address any doubts and fears that would limit your body’s capacity to regenerate. You might want to get acquainted with the Holding Meditation that I share with you from time to time here at this website. This is one of the simplest, most powerful methods I know for addressing fears and meeting them with the kind of compassion that allows doubts to rest and helps you get in touch with your own creative life-force energy.
When you start to feel that sense of hopelessness, just remember that your mind-body-spirit knows what to do. Your cells know how to regenerate. You don’t personally have to have every detail figured out. What your mind-body-spirit needs from you for cell regeneration are clear instructions and trust in their natural wisdom and ability to repair.

I sometimes think that we are on a similar wavelength, Misa although you have obviously delved deeper into the subject than I. I recently found a book by Olga Kharitidi MD and it recounts her experiences in the Altai Mountains in Siberia. She is a psychiatrist but her experiences and what she learnt from these people gave her a new map of the mind and reality. I have yet to settle down to read this small volume but I feel sure that it will be enlightening. From your comments I gather that you have had perhaps similar journeys into the deeper levels of the Mind/Spirit dimension in this and other incarnations. Most people don’t realise how much they can effect the body and its functions by dietary and use of the power of Mind and spiritual powers. Your calling as a teacher of the ancient wisdom is perhaps shining a light into this area of our ignorance

Hello George. So lovely to meet a co-heart! I took a quick look, and it does indeed seem that Olga is my kind of person. I loved the years I spent with Native American elders and medicine people, learning to expand my mind, heart and soul into greater potential. It seems potential is significant to you too. Your journal is a lovely exploration of what is possible! 🙂

Amazing! I love this. I always had a sneaking suspicion that anyone could heal anything if they believed enough – the issue, I suppose, is that sometimes there are barriers in the way of that belief.
I instinctively feel all the what can only be called genetic engineering, is going down the wrong path – but that’s just me…I read once about how vitamin E is created synthetically, and normal, natural vitamin E even when isolated has the effect of healing and binding, strengthening tissues…but the synthetic vitamin E, despite being 100% identical in structure, had the opposite effect of killing microorganisms. Instead of taking heed of what this might mean, scientists decided to use it as a preservative for food and other products. Who knows what that tiny action could be doing on a cellular level?!
This made me think that maybe all the nutrients we take in are not useful to us because of their structure, but because of the energy tied to that structure. Apparently, nobody is quite sure how we absorb nutrients anyway, as there is nothing left of them once they’ve been through the ol’ stomach acid…Maybe we could direct energy into what we eat to make sure it does us only good!
I also believe that those scientists ought to open their minds and find a way of teaching everyone how to energy heal, how to do it properly rather than just patching people up on the outside!
I find this whole subject fascinating and your articles are brilliant, Misa. Thank you for all that you do. I wonder if I could get my thyroid to work properly again?? Do you think you have to know exactly what’s wrong with it before you start trying to heal it, or would it work even if you didn’t? Are there some things which just have to have “normal” treatment? Thanks so much.

Teddybear,
Now that is a name that inspires love!
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoy my articles. It’s my delight to write and share them. 🙂
You’ve really captured it. Our doubts and fears come up, laden with everything we’ve been taught about how we are supposed to heal, and those become barriers to our true potential. I really appreciate your insights about genetic engineering, and what you discovered about vitamin E. I appreciate genetic engineering from the standpoint of what it can show us about how healing occurs through the introduction of elements like sound and light. But personally, I prefer to evolve and heal myself naturally—and of course, facilitate opportunities for others to discover their own spiritual gifts for healing.
I learned a long time ago not to put limits on what we can do. One of my earliest clients set the bar. I tell her story about growing a new heart valve in the second video (second story on the video, about 3 minutes in) on this page: https://misahopkins.com/sound-healing-audio-course/. What I don’t say in the video is that she didn’t visualize growing a new valve and I didn’t hold that intention in my sound healing for her. Her visualization of choice was calm water, and our shared intention as she visualized and I sang was that she have a healthy heart.
I do not believe you need to know exactly what’s wrong or exactly what is required for healing to occur. In the same video I share my first experience with “miraculous healing” with my mother, and in her case, I didn’t know what was wrong with her, or what she needed. I followed the intuitive guidance I was receiving.
I have discovered you need to have: 1.love for yourself; 2. a clear intention, which is a strong feeling regarding the outcome you want to experience (as in the feeling of a healthy heart, the joy of complete wellness, etc.); 3. a regular energy practice for bringing that desired outcome into reality; 4. a way to be compassionate with yourself when your doubts come up, so they can release and you continue with clear focus.
So, can you heal your thyroid. If it was my thyroid, I’d be going for it. That said, when one is on medication, there is a lot of wisdom in doing the healing, and working with your doctor to appropriately wean yourself off the medication. There is no need to throw your body into crisis.
If you decide to heal your thyroid, let me know. I’ll be behind you 100% with love and Holding you in a vision of complete wellness.

What a lovely reply, thank you so much. And especially for answering all my questions 🙂
I’m not actually taking any medication yet – I am supposed to raise my iron levels before I do so, but I just assumed that I would have to have the meds then, probably forever, because there didn’t seem to be any other option. Now I am pretty intrigued though, I think I’ll have a go at mending it myself! I will read through all your great articles and see what I can do…I don’t know how you manage to help so many people at once, but I sure appreciate your kindness, thank you!
Oh, and teddybear is my nickname because I have some kind of obsession with bears, ha ha 🙂
May you have much joy this season xx
