butterflyWhen we are uncomfortable and in pain it can be so difficult to focus on what you want to be feeling. But it is a necessity. If you focus on your discomfort, you will simply feel more of it. Here are a few practical things you can do to help you focus on what you want.

Give thanks for even the tiniest feeling of freedom in your body. Say it and feel it with all the gusto and certainty that you can so that your body knows you mean it and can live up to your expectation.

Get involved in service or a creative endeavor that engages you fully. Plenty of studies have been done to show that pain relief is common when people are focused in creative expression.

Give yourself what you need to feel free from pain: see a healer; change your habits; take medication, herbs or homeopathic remedies; learn to hypnotize yourself; meditate; engage in relaxation practices; use guided meditations; give yourself reiki…..whatever it takes—help your body get to a place where it is feeling more free. And help it do so frequently.

Listen to and follow your intuition so that you find healing solutions that truly work for you, not just for pain relief, but for complete and total healing at the source of your discomfort.
